Our Story
Flappy Bird was released in May 2013 by Vietnamese indie developer Dong Nguyen of .GEARS Studios. By January 2014 it had become a global phenomenon — and by February 2014 it was gone from the App Store and Google Play, leaving millions of players searching for a way to play it again.
Flappy Bird Online was built to answer that search. We rebuilt the game from the ground up on HTML5 Canvas so it runs natively in any modern browser: no emulator, no plugin, no APK, no install. Open the page, tap once, and the yellow bird is flying.
Since launch, players have used our site to relive high-score chases from 2014, to introduce the game to a new generation, and to unwind in Zen Mode. Every decision we make starts from one question: does this make the game easier to reach and more enjoyable to play?
What We Offer
Classic Mode
The authentic experience: gravity, pipes, collision, and a +1 counter for every gap you clear. Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum medals unlock as your score climbs.
Zen Mode
A stress-free flight with no obstacles and no game over — perfect for a two-minute reset during a busy day.
Every Device, Every Browser
Spacebar, arrow key, mouse click, or thumb tap — the controls adapt to whatever you are playing on, with retina-sharp rendering on high-DPI screens.
What We Value
Instant, Free Access
No accounts, no downloads, no paywalls. Flappy Bird Online loads in your browser and starts in seconds — on a school Chromebook, a work desktop, or your phone.
Respect for Your Time
Zen Mode lets you fly without pipes, scores, or game-over screens. We build for relaxation as seriously as we build for competition.
Privacy by Default
We collect only what is needed to keep the site running. Your high score stays in your own browser storage, never on a server we control.
Craftsmanship
Pixel-perfect collision detection, a locked 60 FPS loop, and responsive touch and keyboard controls — a faithful rebuild of the physics players remember.
Our Promise
Flappy Bird Online will always be free to play. We do not charge for gameplay, sell power-ups, or put the game behind a registration wall. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising only, and we never sell personal data — details are always available in our Privacy Policy.
Flappy Bird and its characters are the property of their original creators. This project is an independent, fan-made tribute built with original code and assets, intended for educational and entertainment purposes. Read more in our Terms & Conditions.
